Nonprofit Secure is a security and safety program offered free of charge to all the grantee-partners that are invited.
Nonprofit Secure offers holistic security and safety supports across physical security, digital security, legal support, risk-informed fundraising, crisis communications, and psychological well-being. Support is offered in three formats, all directly accessible through this platform.
Virtual Workshops
60-90 minute Zoom sessions to prepare organizations for risk and strengthen security practices.
One-to-one support
Request up to ~10 hours of individualized support from our security provider partners.
Rapid response grants
Apply for mini grants to prepare for or respond to security needs not met by this program.

One-on-One Support
You may request 1:1 support from security providers for preventative measures or for crisis response. Select 'Contact Us' to submit your request to your provider of choice. Afterward, the provider will set up a call with you via your preferred method of communication.
Incidences will be prioritized based on urgency, and in cases of crisis, providers will respond within 48 hours. If you are unsure of which provider meets your needs, please Contact Us and we will assist you.

Rapid Response Grants
Organizations are encouraged, but not required, to access resources available through the Nonprofit Secure program prior to requesting Rapid Response grants.
The fund is limited in size, and we urge organizations to consider the needs of colleague organizations whose funding sources may be more minimal.
Scope
Must be related to security and safety needs, either preparedness or crisis response. Examples include:
- Security software licenses: encryption of sensitive online data in CRMs or online drives, cloud back-up, anti-virus, VPNs, password managers.
- Security expert services from local consultants or experts, such as security audits or preparedness planning or consulting on security policies or staff training.
- Support activities for staff from local providers, such as psychosocial supports.
- Premise security upgrades: locks, perimeter video surveillance.
Eligible Costs
- Service provider fees not associated with Nonprofit Secure, software licenses, equipment, security and safety implementation processes.
Ineligible Costs
- Weapons, capital purchases over $5000, armed security.
